Headrest from Ethiopia

Small wooden pillows are common in many African communities and are used to support the head during sleep and sometimes to preserve a hairstyle. This headrest from Ethiopia exhibits a beautiful patina to the hand carved hardwood. The geometric design compliments the shape of the stool. It weighs just over 350g, at a hight of 14cm (5.5") and width of 19cm (7.5").
